The BCAMT (BC Association of Mathematics Teachers) annually recognizes outstanding teachers in BC. Recently they singled out one of 91±¬ÁÏ’s finest, Daryl Goeson, 91±¬ÁÏ North’s Math Department Head. He received the prestigious Ivan L. Johnson Memorial Award, an award established to honour this long time BCAMT executive member – and coincidently had been a math teacher in 91±¬ÁÏ. Since the award was established four years ago two 91±¬ÁÏ teachers have received this award for inspiring teachers to try new ideas and seeking innovative practices in the math classroom.
