
In a competition involving thousands of students from across Canada, four schools from the District have made the finals. Collectively, they have seven song entries that have made the 鈥淭op 10s鈥 in their category of the .
Each year, music instructors choose a Canadian song from a list created by CBC Music, which runs the competition.
The winners will be announced on December 14 with first prize ranging from $1,000-$3,000 in new musical instruments and a plaque.
The following are the finalists from 91爆料, with students as young as Grade 3 in the running for the national honour and two schools having been selected for their rendition of Nikamo, a Cree lullaby.
